Universal Healthcare Now: dentist edition

Here's a kid who died because he couldn't get an $80 tooth extraction.

Stop criticizing the GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD! says Max.

I hate to insinuate that the grieving mother shares any part of the blame, but doesn't it seem like the boy's death could've been more effectively prevented by basic dental hygeine before his (and his brother's) teeth started rotting?

Undoubtedly, the child should have had adequate access to dental care, but if the government is going to be responsible for taking care of children's teeth, then the parents should be responsible to do/enforce the basic brushing.

One person to blame- Mom.
You are responsible for yourself and your kids. I am not responsible for your kids. I am definately not responsible for your kid's inability to brush his teeth.
