Dear Diary

This week the kid, the husband and I had a terrible cold. Also, my grandmother died. In addition, it turns out that, while they don't care who checks out copies of The Little Red Book after all, they do open our international mail. (Via FireDogLake.) The Congressional Research Service politely begs to differ with the President about whether he can legally order illegal wiretapping. Also, I have to fly to D.C. tomorrow for my grandmother's funeral, so I hope that, unlike this poor guy, I haven't been inexplicably placed on the No-Fly list..

All in all, it really hasn't been a very good week for me. At least it's sunny out today.

accomplished this week:
- printed out a bunch of "IMPEACH" stickers on file folder labels. Will refrain from slathering them all over grandma's cemetery.
- watched "Triplets of Belleville" four times with whimpering, snot-filled, feverish child.
- purchased one round-trip ticket to DC through own snotty cold haze.
- started process to roll over ancient 401(k) account I've been ignoring.

I was coming to bait you about being a content challenge overachiever already, but instead I will say I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother. I hope the trip goes smoothly.

Sorry to hear your sad news. Don't bring any new bugs back from DC!
